To the Voters of Williamson County:
Welcome to my campaign website. On this website, you will find some additional information about my background, qualifications, and supporters. You will also be able to see the latest campaign announcements and activities. Now that my campaign for re-election to the 425th District Court has begun, I did not want to wait to tell you what a privilege it is to serve the citizens of Williamson County and to work with a great court administration staff. My goal every day is to honor the trust the voters place in me and our staff.
Following my appointment by the Governor of the Great State of Texas, our court has become one of the most efficient courts in Williamson County. Our Court has:
- Been assigned 37.5% (an average of 1,500 cases per year) of the family law cases filed in our county. This is more than any other court in the county.
- Disposed of approximately 5,600 cases.
- Held nearly 2,400 family law hearings per year, an average of approximately 10 cases per court day.
We are diligent and efficient, but we also are fair and careful with the responsibilities we are given.
From the day I took my oath of office, I have invested this court with my own core values – honor, integrity, courtesy, fairness and a strong work ethic. Those are the traits I live by as a judge. These are the values by which I was known by during my 33 years as a practicing attorney. These are the values that I will not compromise.
In short, the taxpayers and citizens of Williamson County can feel confident that we are good stewards of their tax dollars and our responsibility in the 425th District Court. My staff and I are "walking the walk" as well as "talking the talk." We are constantly looking for ways to improve our efficiencies while, at the same time, giving the litigants and their attorneys the time needed for a fair trial. I am proud of this Court and would be honored to continue to serve as judge. However, in order to do so, I am humbly asking for your support and vote during this election cycle.
Respectfully,
Mark Silverstone
Mark Silverstone is a Judge with exceptional qualifications to be re-elected as your District Judge. We are fortunate to have someone of his caliber to hold this position.
